Wow, the simple elegance and aloneness of your subject is very powerful. Great lighting too, although it doesn't look entirely like it was done in camera, but maybe I just think that cos I couldn't do it nearly so well. Great post work if it wasn't! The plain gradient in the background is mesmerising! Nice one.

What an exquisite looking photograph! So beautifully taken and the lighting is just supurb.

Kimbomac: everything is done in-camera except for the obvious, levels, curves, dust spot cloning (it's time to clean my sensor, I know) and some sharpening. It looks "synthetic" because of two different light sources, daylight (from the left with a white light bouncer on the right) and a bunch of white ultrabright LEDs for some light painting fill from the above. That's all. Background is simple red monochrome cardboard.

I'm planning to do a few heavily tweaked images and I'll label those as manipulated.

BTW, I know you can do this just as well or even better! :-)
